Project Story

Situated in the heart of the Hudson Yards development in New York City (NYC), work on the 200-room Equinox Hotel is now complete. This luxury complex, which features switchable privacy glass from Smartglass International, is now ready for guests to enjoy, opening to the public this month (June 2019).

The hotel is located within the architectural gem that is 35 Hudson Yards. Designed by David Childs of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), this 1,000-foot-tall tower is home to the Equinox Hotel on floors 24 through 38. This is the first hotel for the Equinox brand, and it’s no surprise that is has chosen the exciting Hudson Yards development to house its latest venture.

Described by many as the ‘New Heart of New York’, the Hudson Yards real estate development will include thousands of residences, offices, restaurants and retail space. With all this, plus 14 acres of parks and open spaces, the Hudson Yards area is designed to bring people together to live, work, and relax.

With its focus on wellness, fitness and diet, the Equinox Hotel is indeed the ideal place to relax. As the first hotel for luxury gym brand, Equinox, the hotel provides a high-performance environment for healthy living. Alongside food from restaurateur Stephen Starr, access to personal training services, a spa, and several pools, guests will enjoy rooms featuring soundproofed walls and blackout shades to provide rest and calm in the midst of the city.
