Smartglass International recently collaborated with a well-established property developer in central London to add a modern twist to a selection of newly acquired apartments.
While refurbishing these high-end flats, the developer noticed that a central window let a great deal of light into one of the bedrooms. Concerned that this would hinder sleep for the inhabitants, but not wanting to remove the opportunity for natural light or ruin the room’s simple aesthetic, the developer turned to Smartglass for a unique solution.
After discussing the developer’s needs, timeline and budget, we decided to install a panel of our versatile Blackout Smartglass in the existing window space. Blackout Smartglass offers 4 distinct states: clear, opaque, Solar (tinted) and blackout.
