Architecture events

Smartglass International has decided to prepare a list of different interesting architectural events that should not be missed. If you feel that we have missed an event that should appear on the list – feel free to contact us.

September nomination

There is still time to submit an interesting design to the Solent Design Awards competition. The deadline is at 4 PM on September 30^th. It is organised by the (PUSH) Partnership of Urban South Hampshire.

The judges will be looking for buildings or places of outstanding design standards which have a positive impact on their communities.

October Irish Architecture Expo

The successful 2013 events will be available this year with three project categories :

— Projects up to €1 million
— Projects between €1 million and €5 Million
— Projects over €5 million

Projects must have been completed  AFTER  January 31^st, 2013 and show innovations in interior design/fit – out.  Submissions must be made on A1 kappa-style boards- presented horizontally and including sketches, images and text. Up to four boards for mounting could be included. Boards must be anonymous with only a visible name of the project.

Deadline is September 30^th,  2014.

 London Festival –100% Design event in London

It is the 20^th edition of the show, reflecting the diversity and rich history of  UK’s largest and longest running design event. The Kaleidoscope provides the inspiration across the show’s campaign.  Don’t miss 17-20 September 2014 at Earls Court,  London.

Dutch Design Week

Between October 18^th to 26^th,  2014

It is a great opportunity to see small design inventions and learn more about future trends in furniture design. Learn more about the Dutch design and exchange ideas with more than 2000 designers that will be full of innovative ideas.
