Smartglass switchable privacy glass to be deployed in 48 guestrooms of 5-star Constance Ephélia Resort in Seychelles.

We are proud to announce that Privacy Smartglass will be installed  in 48 guestrooms of the 5-star Constance Ephélia Resort located at the Port Launay National Marine Park in Seychelles.

The electronically switchable privacy glass will act as a screen between the shower and the guestroom, with three panels wrapping around the shower tray to allow unobstructed views of the balcony and the Indian Ocean.

Philippe Offre, Group Technical Manager, Constance Hotels and Resorts (Seychelles), said: “For this project we wanted to create a feeling of space by designing a fully open bathroom. However, we did not want to sacrifice our guests’ privacy and therefore Privacy Smartglass provided the ideal solution – privacy at the flip of a switch.”

Privacy Smartglass has been used in some of the most prestigious projects worldwide, including the Microsoft Headquarters in Lisbon, Portugal; the Kempinski Grand & Ixir Hotel in Manama, Bahrain; and the Rothschild Private Bank Headquarters and the Eccleston Square Hotel in London.
