Situated in the upmarket St. James area of central London, this elegant meeting area was designed for a leading UK-based funds manager.

Keen to create a refined atmosphere for discerning clients, the company wanted to create an impressive meeting room without compromising on visual and acoustic privacy. Switchable smart glass from Smartglass International offered the perfect solution, providing a sleek finish with the option of instant opacity when required.

The resulting partition features a central band of switchable glass on both wall and door panels. These switchable glass panes turn from transparent to opaque in less than 0.1 seconds. For maximum acoustic privacy, the entire installation also features high performance double glazing for optimum sound proofing.

Combining on-demand privacy with high-end design, the finished partition allows light to travel unhindered throughout the whole workspace, maintaining an open and airy feel even when the glass is activated.
